Robbie Sparks
InDesign and Quark migration to InDesign

Robbie’s first love is typography. He has been a member – and a former chairman – of the Typographic Circle since its beginnings as The Type Directors’ Club in 1978 and is now an honorary life member. He first discovered InDesign in 2003 and realised that there was a serious rival to Quark. At the time he was working as Type Director and Head of Studio at St. Luke’s advertising agency. All the rest as Robbie would say ‘is history’.

Robbie has worked for many of the top Advertising Agencies and Design Studios having started his career at Ogilvy & Mather. At St. Luke’s he held the position of Type Director & Head of Studio. At Chiat/Day and also DMB&B he was Type Director and held the same position at Marsteller Advertising.

Chakib Labidi
Photoshop and Illustrator

Chakib is passionate about Photoshop and is equally enthused about the creative power of Illustrator. He has a Masters in Product Design from the UdK Berlin and has been delivering training in higher and further education institutions and for private clients for many years. He also dedicates some of his time working as a consultant for international agencies. As an Adobe Certified Instructor he has specialized in Photoshop and Illustrator for many years and is an expert in his own right.

Chakib has worked for many top name brands and ‘Blue Chip’ companies including BBC, Imagination, Sky, Victoria & Albert Museum, National History Museum, Clear Channel, Open University, BHB, Sony, Nestle, Addidas, Zebra, GMTV to name a few!

Alex Shaw
Dreamweaver, CSS, HTML, SEO

Alex Shaw has been building websites for 15 years and offering training services for 10 years. During that time he has taught many bluechip companies in the UK including the BBC, Lloyds of London and the Ministry of Defence as well as universities, councils, manufacturers and publishers.

His speciality is in CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). Alex shows how CSS gives the website developer more control over layout and design and as CSS becomes more widely used in the field of Web Design, Alex can help you get up to speed in this fast – developing area. Alex also teaches Dreamweaver, PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator and other specialist areas are HTML and SEO.

Richard Bird
InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

Richard Bird is an Associate of the Institute of IT Training (TAP accredited) and is an Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor in Photoshop CS, CS2, CS3, InDesign CS, CS2, CS3., Illustrator CS, CS2 and InCopy CS2.

Richard has gained his 30 plus years experience in the design industry starting at the London College of Printing then into the print industry followed by a long career as a magazine designer and art editor of many well – known titles. Later on switching to the advertising industry he made a name as a freelance typographer and studio manager with several of the larger advertising agencies. A trainer now for six years he enjoys bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to others with patience and understanding.

Jon Bessent
Acrobat, InDesign, InCopy, LiveCycle

Jon Bessant is an Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor in Acrobat 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 along with Livecycle Designer 7, InDesign CS2, CS3, InCopy CS2 and he also holds Enfocus Certified Expert status. He is the technical consultant specializing in Adobe Acrobat, PDF/X, Enfocus products, PDF Workflows and print production. Jon has been utilising Acrobat and PDF since 1994 in the creative and print environments. He has presented at European Seybold Seminars and various UK events including Adobe Live, Digital Solutions. PIRA, Pre – Press Strategies and the Publishing Expo to name a few. In addition, a featured Expert within Adobe's Acrobat Usergroup and a Senior Adobe Presenter within the official UK Consultancy Project. A solid contributor to the Adobe User – to – User forums in the Acrobat and PDF communities.
